Bova Tallow Soap Bar

This is a fantastic product. I received a set of three soap bars for washing my hands, using in the shower, and I even gave one to my daughter. This is my first time trying soap made with tallow, and it's been amazing. It lathers well and feels really gentle on my skin. You can tell it was crafted with care. Unlike some other tallow products that have a strong smell, this one smells like traditional, handmade soap, which my son pointed out. I have a sensitive nose and can catch a hint of beef broth, but it's very faint and goes away quickly. These soaps are made from triple-rendered tallow, ensuring they're clean with minimal fragrance. I really wish more traditional, hand-crafted items were available instead of mass-produced ones.

I'm still using this soap, and after just two showers with regular tap water, my skin isn't feeling tight or showing those annoying dry bumps like before. This is a great tallow soap bar with a light, nice scent that reminds me of vanilla, but not really vanilla. It’s gentle and not overwhelming, which I like. It doesn’t foam a lot, but it rinses off well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or too dry. I can’t say I’ve seen major hydration yet since I’ve only been using it a few days. Thankfully, it hasn’t irritated my skin or made it itchy like some soaps can. The bar is holding up well; after several washes, it still looks almost new, so I think it will last a few more weeks, maybe a month. Given the price, it feels like a solid deal, and I’d be glad to keep using it—especially if it helps keep my skin more hydrated over time.

I'm really into this soap. Since I do jiu jitsu, I'm showering 1 to 3 times daily and need something powerful to keep skin infections at bay. My skin feels super soft that even my kid notices and loves to touch my arms. I'm trying it as a shampoo, and it has definitely helped with my scalp issues and made my hair look better. I've been getting compliments on its healthiness. I use a lot of oil to braid my hair, so I tend to be a bit oily, but without the oil, I think I’d be fine. Update: still loving the soap, but it hasn't worked as a shampoo for me. I've ended up with too much buildup a couple of times, and switching to another shampoo bar helped, but both times I dealt with a bunch of dandruff.
